IKEA IT - LightBox

A lightbox creative starts as an in-page ad. After a 2-second rollover, it expands at the center of the page. It is a high-engagement format available exclusively on the Google Display Network (GDN). Based on the traditional rollover expansion method, lightbox ads use pointer placement delay to better gauge the user's intention to interact with the ad, reducing unintentional mouse movements and interrupted expansions.

Within the digital department of Zampediverse S.r.l., an integrated communication agency based in Carate Brianza, I handled the UX design, UI design, and custom development of the desktop lightbox ad created for the launch of the IKEA 2016 catalog.

The project was designed to deliver a clear, engaging user experience fully aligned with the brand’s visual identity.

I worked on the user experience structure, interface design, and technical implementation, creating an intuitive and visually impactful layout.

Special attention was given to usability, performance, and seamless integration within the brand’s digital ecosystem.

The final result is a modern, functional, and visually striking promotional lightbox designed to support the launch of the IKEA 2016 catalog.
